What is the Toolbox for Revit?

The Toolbox for Revit is a container of nice little external commands to speed up your work with Autodesk Revit. Right now we have two commands: The FilterTool, you can buy for a small amount of money and our WallFilter which can be downloaded even for free. And there will be even more tools in the near future. Just wait and see.

How do I install the FilterTool?

The installion of our tools are pretty straight forward. Just unzipp the downloaded FilterTool200X.zip file and double click the Setup.exe program. Make sure you have administrator rights and Revit isn't running. Our ToolboxInstaller program will pop up. To start the installation process just accept the licence and click "Install" and you are done. Start Revit. You'll find the FilterTool command in the Autodesk Revit menu bar Tools -> External Tools -> FilterTool. Enjoy our tool!

How do I unistall the FilterTool?

Unistallation of the FilterTool is easy, too. Just double click the Uninstall.exe program from the unzipped installation package. You'll get a confirmation message, restart Autodesk Revit and that's it. But hey, why would you want to uninstall our tools?! ;)

What is the FilterTool?

The Toolbox4Revit.com FilterTool is a little piece of software which enhances the normal Filter command in Revit. You can use it like the regular Filter in Revit. But with our FilterTool you can not only select the element categories like the Revit Filter does but also the type of the elements. For example you are able to select a specific window type not all windows. You can access the FilterTool as an external command in Autodesk Revit 2009 and 2008.

What is the WallFilter?

The Toolbox4Revit.com WallFilter is a ittle piece of software which can be downloaded for free from our website www.toolbox4revit.com. It works like the regular Filter in Revit however it just considers the selected wall types. So for example you are able to just activate a specific wall type to select and not all walls of your initial selection. You can access the WallFilter as an external command in Autodesk Revit 2009 and 2008.

How much does the WallFilter cost?

€ 0. The Toolbox4Revit.com WallFilter is completely free for both home and commercial users. However, if you like our little tool you can buy us a beer ;) 

Is there technical support available for the WallFilter?

No. Unfortunately we are not able to offer support to users of our WallFilter. We will do our best to keep this FAQ up to date with pertinent technical information.
